Award winning guided walking tours to The Quiet Man Film Locations depart daily from The Quiet Man Museum. The tour features many of the locations in the movie including Innisfree, Castletown, the Pat Cohan Bar, the Reverend Playfair’s house, the dying man’s house, the fight scenes, the courting scenes, the commemorative statute and includes entry to The Quiet Man Museum.
The tours are interactive with enthusiasts re-enacting various scenes to the delight of their fellow visitors! Lead by guides with a wealth of knowledge about the movie, the tours have received an award of excellence from CIE Tours International. Maureen O’Hara even took the tour on her reminiscing trip to Cong to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the making of the movie. Hear the tales of the Wayne family visit and the Maureen O’Hara visit from the tour guides and stories of what Cong was like in 1951 when it was invaded by Hollywood! Quiet Man enthusiasts will go away with a new perspective on the movie and lots of tales to bring home to those not lucky enough to have made it to Cong.
The Quiet Man Tours depart from The Quiet Man Museum daily at 11am from 1 April to 31 October and at other times on request. Tickets can also be purchased at The Quiet Man Museum.
